Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) in Salt Lake City, Utah by Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kirk Moore

Clients at Just The Right Curves love tummy tucks because of the dramatic change in their appearance. They routinely tell us that they love losing the heaviness, loose skin, stretch marks, and fat from their lower abdomen. Clothes fit better and patients feel more comfortable wearing certain dresses, low cut jeans, and swimsuits.

A tummy tuck is also known as an abdominoplasty. It is a very common and safe procedure. During a tummy tuck, excess skin and fat is removed from the abdominal wall. The remaining tissue and muscle of the wall is then tightened. The overall effect is a smoother, tighter stomach. Abdominoplasty is beneficial for any patient who has an over-hanging, protruding stomach. By far, the most common patients are women who have given birth and have lost the body shape they once had. In many post-partum scenarios, it can be difficult for a woman to regain her pre-pregnancy shape. Excess fat develops, and the skin of the stomach loses its natural elasticity.

At Just The Right Curves, we are committed to helping you achieve your personal goals in abdominal rejuvenation. We customize each surgery to ensure client safety and to help you return to your lifestyle and activities of daily living as soon as possible.

We Offer 3 Tummy Tuck Procedures at Just The Right Curves For Beautiful, Consistent Results!

Which Tummy Tuck Is Right For You?

Patients today have many effective options to rejuvenate their abdomen. The type of Tummy Tuck used depends upon the degree of fat and sagging skin involved. Dr. Moore will be able to determine which type of tummy tuck procedure is best for you only after an initial consultation.

Mini Tummy Tuck

Clients with excess fat, looseness of the lower abdominal wall, and loose skin in the center of their abdomens may benefit from a mini-tummy tuck. Dr. Moore uses a short incision to remove the skin. Through this limited incision, Dr. Moore will tighten the abdominal muscles which separated during pregnancy or weight gain to help rejuvenate the abdominal wall and give you your waist back!

Standard Tummy Tuck

Clients with excess fat and skin, looseness of the abdominal muscles, and small love handles are great candidates for a standard tummy tuck. This procedure uses an incision that can be hidden under a bikini. This incision allows us to remove the excess skin and fat.

Extended Tummy Tuck

Clients who have excess fat and skin, looseness of the abdominal wall and excess tissue in the sides are excellent candidates for an extended abdominoplasty. This has a somewhat longer incision than a standard tummy tuck which allows Dr. Moore to remove the skin and tissue from the sides and contour your tummy beautifully.

If you have fat in your abdominal area that does not respond to diet and exercise, please contact us today. Dr. Moore has performed thousands of tummy tucks – we’ll listen to your concerns, and thoroughly explain all aspects of the procedure to you. When we customize your surgery, we take into account the clothes you prefer to wear and your activities. Your scar can remain well-hidden- whether it is under low cut jeans or even a bikini!

Results From A Tummy Tuck

Results from the tummy tuck procedure will likely diminish if a client bears a child or gains a great deal of weight. If you plan on becoming pregnant, we advise that you delay your abdominoplasty. Dr. Moore also encourages patients who intend to lose a large amount of weight (15lbs or more)to have the surgery once they have achieved their target weight, since the skin in the abdominal area typically loosens after substantial weight loss. This helps our patients achieve long lasting results.

Recovery after Abdominoplasty

Recovery time ranges from two weeks to a few months. Patients can expect to return to exercise and sports in four to five weeks. However, we realize that every patient is unique. Dr. Moore carefully monitors the recovery of each patient and will let you know when it’s safe for you to perform any activity.
