This is one of the most common questions I hear from my clients: “How soon after breast augmentation can I (insert activity here)?” Whether it is buying a bra or lifting over 15 pounds, women who choose to undergo breast augmentation surgery are generally anxious to know when their lives will return to normal after the procedure.
When it relates to physical activity or physical strain, I generally tell my patients that it is better to listen to your body’s signals. This is not to say that you are unable to resume your normal workout routine or lift your baby within a short of amount of time – it is only to caution you to take care of yourself afterwards, just as you would do after any other surgical procedure.
Most of my clients are able to resume daily workouts, and yes, even buy a bra, within three to five weeks after surgery. In fact, you’ll find that the recovery is much less time-consuming than you might think, and it will go by quickly for you.
Choosing breast augmentation is a major decision, but it doesn’t have to have a negative impact on your daily routine. With my practically pain free recovery method, you’ll be surprised at how easy the transition will be for you – and how pleased you’ll be with the results!
